   admissions criteria and procedures for all new service users.
   There is also information on enquires, should you or your
   family wish to discuss any aspect of the admissions procedure.

   Criteria
    In order to ensure that our Nursing Home is suitable for
   service users, and to be able to give our service users the best
   possible service and support, we carry out our own assessment,
   independent of other assessments carried out by Social Services.

   This will also allow both service users and their families and
   carers to have as much information as possible
   to make an informed and positive choice about their future.

   Our assessment covers both health and social requirements, which are in accordance with the Department of
   Health guidelines. The assessment will be used by staff to make certain that Sonesta can meet the needs of its
   service users.

   We like to invite prospective service users to visit our nursing home on an informal visit to ensure they are
   making the right decision.

   Admissions
   We have both private service users, and service users referred to us by Social Services. Before a service users
   is accepted into the home we assess other aspects of the application, and our assessments are to ensure
   minimal disruption on admission.
